October 10-11, 2007, San José -Costa Rica-
The Latin America Networking Conference (LANC) 2007 will be held in San José, Costa Rica, on October 10-11, 2007. LANC 2007 is organized and sponsored by CLEI, IFIC TC6, and ACM SIGCOMM.

We invite researchers, engineers, professors, students, and anyone from industry or academia who might be interested in the conference topic, to take part in the event.

LANC 2007 will provide an international technical forum to exchange ideas and present results of ongoing research in networking.

Topics from Networks and Communication systems include, but are not limited to:

Low cost access networks.
Sensor and actor networks.
Low rate communications.
National communication infrastructures.
Wireless communications.
Applications for productivity.
Internet based applications.
Web infrastructure.
Network management.
Network performance evaluation.
Network security.
Optical Communications.
Protocols and routing.

Papers that cover solutions of specific network problems in Latin America are especially encouraged. Proposals for half/full day tutorials are solicited as well.

Papers should be submitted in English, preferably in PDF format, using the ACM SIG Proceedings Templates (http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html). Authors must state that it has not been published before and is not being submitted elsewhere. Full papers should be no more than 15 pages, 12pt, including figures.

All accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library and on a CD with its own ISBN. The CD will be available at the Conference.

Important dates:

Full paper submission: May 1, 2007.
Notification of acceptance: July 1, 2007.
Camera-ready copy: August 1, 2007.
Deadline for tutorials proposals: May 15, 2007.
